you better you bet
Well, after 5+ years of talking about it, Ann has finally decided to get lasik surgery. Her eyesight has been terrbile for a long tmie. I have been winning a fair amount at poker lately, so it seemed like a good time to get it done. Not that $ has been the only reason she hasn't, I think she's just been afraid of getting her eyeballs cut into. Seems rational. But she's more skittish of surgical procedures than most. She can't even get a shot without freaking out. So having your eyeballs sliced into has got to be near the top of the list of things to not look forward to.
The brochure she came home with has a list of post-operation do's and don'ts.
Among the don'ts is the line:"don't rub your eyes for 1 month"
1 month?!?! I can't go 1 day! So I guess I'm never going to be a candidate for lasik.

Just stay away from Dr. Anis. The man is a flaming a**hole.
The craziest thing about lasik is that your eyes are open and you're watching them do all the stuff. Seems like it would be mindblowing...

I'm going to Vince Sutton of Sutton, Linder, and Sutton. They seem very reputable and they didn't try to "sell me" the most expensive procedure. I was told that while the laser is doing its thing (only like 1 minute) your vision is like "greyed out" and you really only see peripheral. Guess I'd be best to comment on this after I actually have the surgery...
