Have I mentioned that I'm desparetely looking for a new bike? Yes, I think I may have. Saturday was the only nice day of the weekend, and I did ride around town on my current bike a fair bit. Today was borderline weather for riding to work, but I've been little newvous about the bike because I know the rear tire is nearly worn out. Today I inspected it closely, and really, I can't ride that tire anymore, just not safe.
So now, I have no bike. We are now at threat level red.

So what you're saying is...you have the skill and determination to change out every mechanical part on the flippin' engine of multiple vehicles but you're not willing/able to change out a tire?
This seems mildly ironic to me...

Errr, yes.
Well, more accurately, I don't have the right tools.
To change a motorcycle tire, you need a specific motorcycle jack, or at least something more specialized than a simple car jack. Something I don't have.
But thanks to your ridicule, I'm thinking of building one. At which point, yes, I will change the tire.
