a life of illusion

I have no cable. It has never bothered me too much, but there are definitely some shows I like to watch, and the ones I would be most interested in are not on network TV. I've always debated the pros and cons of satellite TV, and finally the costs are coming down enough that it's starting to make sense.

Here's where I am now vs what the "local" phone company is offering

Now Windstream
20 40 TV
40 40 Phone
40 20 Internet
5 0 Long Distance
0 6 PVR
105 106 Total

So it's pretty much a wash, except I'm sure the proposed windstream price doesn't include taxes and such, and thus will be ~$10-15 more, but I'll also be getting more. So it's very tempting.

I need to ask around if anyone I know is using dish and has an opinion...
