There have been several people whose pc's I have 'fixed' over the past couple of years. My fix is basically wiping the drive and reinstalling XP clean. This always solves every problem, but recently MS has subvertly installed on all XP machines a 'genuine checker' that will popup on all the computers I installed XP on and gives a constant nag about how you are running pirated software.
Yeah, pretty much.
So here's how to go about removing the nag and allowing your pc to get updates again.
I did it on 2 machines so far with no problems.
