move the car
Ann had her wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday, and it seemed to go pretty well, save for one small episode where Ann swallowed the gauze they had on her newly exposed gums. That's right, she swallowed it. She said her mouth was very dry, and kept swallowing, and then said "I think I swallowed the gauze", and we looked in their, and yes, there was only one gauze left.
That can't be good.
I was about to try and reach in the back of her mouth with my fat fingers, when the nurse ran off and got those tweezers/scissors things, and reached in the back of her throat and grabbed it. Disaster averted.
She spent most of the day sleeping, and today is generally feeling poor.
I took that opportunity to run up to Omaha and look at a truck I had seen in the paper, and called and talked to the guy about earlier in the week. I ended up spending 5 hours driving up there, checking it out, buying it, and driving it back.
So now I'm the new owner of this thing.
It's just the animal I was looking for, but it was a little hard to test the A/C in 5 degree weather, so I have that to test yet. Otherwise, it seemed pretty solid, and it was a reasonable price (according to edmunds, not me).
I'm not the biggest fan of the color, but it could be worse.
New vehicles are always a source of apprehension for me, and this is no exception. Only time will tell if this was a good purchase, but right now, I like it.

I'll apologize in advance - sorry. Ann swallowing gauze - I laughed for like 5 minutes, and honestly I don't know why. I'm laughing again just thinking about it.
Is that a short-bed truck? Ah, just perfect for transporting kegs...
