you've got so far to go

We've had a pretty good weekend, although just as it started, I managed to catch a nasty cold, probably the worst I've had. At least the worst in the last 4 years.
So it's hampered my ability to be very productive this weekend.
But we still managed to go play lazer tag last nite, which was fun, but I had to admit the girls are still too little for that. So it will be a while before I drag them back there. After that, we all went to eat at HuHot, which everyone loves, and I once again ate so much I was instantly regretful. Bad sidenote, Abby did the same thing. She ate so much that she was crying in pain on the way home.
I took nyquil at 10:30 and went to bed. And I didn't feel ready to get out of bed until 1pm.
Finally, I got up and worked on the new mower, which no one could start when I bought it. It took 2-3 very hard pulls, and Ann and Aubrey had no chance at all.
So I put new gas in it, checked the plug, and cleaned out the entire carburator. Which was great, because in the middle of the process, I lost a piece of it, and had to MacGuyver new one from a paper clip. No Kidding!
At least now Ann and Aubrey can start it now. My last mower was a 20 year old mower I bought from my uncle Ron, who had done a lot of MacGuyer-ing to it of hiw own, including a cool airplane grade switch to kill the spark, and disabled the stupid safety lever you have to hold to keep it running. So I ripped the switch off the old mower, and put it on the new mower. So it now equally a MacGuyer mower as my last one.
Tomorrow nite I leave for couple day trip to Chicago, hopefully that will go on without incident. I don't anticipate anything bad. It should acutally be a fairly short trip.
I'm currently eating beef barley soup

I love this stuff. I don't know why, either. I'm not much of a pasta guy, but I seem to live barley.
