a new hope
So the husker football is absolutely pathetic. The only reason I even mention it is because I have a sadistic side that loves when all the zealots' dreams are crushed, year after year.
Everyone is looking for someone to blame, as it's cannot be possible that our beloved cornhuskers are just not good. They are preordained to win, every year. So if they are not winning, someone's to blame. Someone's screwed up seriously, and needs to be lynched.
That someone was Steve Peterson.
I am no college football expert, and I can envision a couple situations where an athletic director could be at fault for bringing down a football program, but it's not clear to me how that happened here. It looks more to me like everyone just wanted a fall guy.
Not that I care.
The humorous part of this, they need a new athletic director now.
So who's gonna do that? hmmm. Who could do it that has any experience in the nebraska athletics, would be widely accepted by the fans, and have nothing better to do?
God himself, that's who.
You have to be here to appreciate it, but that's all anyone's been talking about here for over a week. All world news events are null and void right now, TO's back! He's come back to save us all!
I'm curious what everyone thinks is going to be different. He's not changing anything, and has said so several times. So the coaching remains the same, the players are the same, I'm not sure how the results can be any different.
Still, it's funny to watch the zealots morale shoot up, it's like watching an experiment with mice. Give them a little cheese and they are much happier, even though they're still in the same cage.
I'm posting this from my new laptop, finally.
It's a nice big 17" dell. It's not the latest and greatest, but it meets my needs, and it's much better than nothing.
