night of the living rednecks

I'm taking the girls out trick or treating tonite, and then off to vegas tomorrow!
So happy halloween! I'm outta here!

Update:
Had a bit of a panic this afternoon.
Dug, my friend in Seattle who is also an EE originally, was the person who originally insisted that the fall vegas trip be this particular weekend this year.
Why?
Several years ago, he forsake(d) (forsook?) his EE degree to open his own car modification garage shop. As a result, he wanted to time the trip with a car show in Vegas he was going to anyway.
Fine.
Last spring, Dug was on a speed channel show, called setup.
His team did very good, got second.
So Dug has been asked to come back for season two, which it turns out, is right now. You know, during the vegas weekend that he picked.
So Dug, who already bought plane tickets, and reserved our rooms at the Las Vegas Club (downtown), is suddenly not coming.
So I am getting ready to leave for Vegas tomorrow, (Have a mentioned that before?) and Dug sends out a message that "the las vegas
club screwed up the reservations, and now we don't have a room for this weekend"
Crap.
I scramble for the phone, and start calling.
I manage to get us some rooms at the mirage, where we have never stayed, but always go to watch football and play poker anyway. I chose that because it had availability and poker room rates.
In fact, the poker room rates are less than 10% more than the las vegas club's rates, so it's a big step in the right direction, in my opinion.
Disaster averted, time to go play some cards!
